Truth in charts

I am still thinking about the Muppets

I saw the movie in November. I’ve seen other movies, amazing movies since, but somehow, this is stuck in my head. Possibly because I got the soundtrack for Christmas.

Should I be heckled for liking the Muppets? If so, well, I can take it:

Ha! This one was totally made for Kristin and Elle!

Why yes, I am a fabulous evening bag and yes, I now live with Jay. Hurrah for Kate Spade and her genius team for making a bag specifically just for me. It’s SPARKLEY and an OWL!

It’s funny cause it’s true!

And we laugh legitimately. There’s a mathematician, a different kind of mathematician, and a statistician.

Still makes me giggle

Today at lunch

We had an entire discussion about a friend’s new man in her life. This is not a new thing we do. But this time, the discussion was held pretty much entirely as a conversation about car shopping.

Here are some things we came up with…sadly even more were lost to the resulting food coma from said lunch.

Base Invoice Price - the base of effort you’ll have to invest
Battery life - DUH
Credit Insurance - backup plan
Conditional Delivery - getting x for y
Cup Holders - DUH
Dealer Sticker Price - maximum effort you’ll have to invest
Documentary Fee - paying a friend with a video camera
Extended Warranties - pre-planning how long to keep using the same car with conditions under which you might use the car again after the main lease is up
Gap Insurance - who is your health care provider
Heated Seats - very good thing for cold weather climates
Manufacturer’s Suggest Retail Price (MSRP) - what the car thinks it should get from the passenger
Packages - DUH
Service Contracts - be careful what you sign when asking for service
Slam on the brakes - terminating service immediately
Spark Plugs - sparks need to be there
Stick Shift - DUH
Timing Belt - timing is everything
Wrap Around Warranties - the possibilities are endless with this one and I need to stop giggling about it

Yes. We are totally grown ups!

Fridays…

Pretty much the best thing about Fridays lately is the series of posts over on Mamapop.com. The installments generally come out around lunchtime for most of us. So today I read Volume 8 during my lunch and it was awesome. Everyone should look at these, every Friday, forever. Because how can you not like cry-laffing. I mean, if you don’t, then maybe I can’t know you anymore.

Sometimes I continue to think about the pictures I see there way longer than I probably should. For example, in Volume 7, there’s this picture that I sent one of my friends:

She promptly wondered what a giraffe and a duck baby would look like crossed together, so I tried to make it happen. I called it a Duraffe because a Girafuck sounded kind of nasty.
